WHEW!
I finally finished plying the Lapis!
The singles went faster than most of my spinning projects, mainly because this fiber was such a pleasure to spin on the Polonaise and I made time to spin it, but I spent all day yesterday plying it on the Pedal Pusher (I spun the singles on the Polonaise), plus part of this morning, and it's only just over 4 ounces of fiber! I couldn't believe it took so long, but it is finer than my usual stuff. I'm going to let it 'age' on the bobbin for a few days before winding it onto the skeinwinder; I won't have time to wash it until next weekend anyway.
I also finally tried out my Kromski upright lazy kate:
It worked really really well. I had expected it to be a bit tippy, but it seemed quite stable. I'll have to use it more often. :-)
I also bought more fiber from Corgi Hill Farm with my birthday money. :-D
Celadon (merino/silk)
Tigereye (merino/alpaca/silk/Firestar)
Aren't they awesome?! I'm trying to decide which one to start first - Celadon or Tigereye?
In Hound news, someone got a haircut:
This is what he thinks of it:
(Actually I agree with him!)
But at least his sister will still play with him!
In blog news, I had to turn on moderation on older blog posts. :-( I've been getting hit with a lot of sp*m comments, and this was the least annoying thing I could do. Apparently I need to sign into the blog to see if comments are awaiting moderation, so please be patient if you don't hear from me right away.

Beautiful! Can't wait to see it in person.
BTW, you can set blogger to email you when you have comments that need to be moderated.

Thanks Dianna! I decided to skein it last night so have it with me for tonight's Spin Club after all. :-)
I did go through the settings again and hopefully have it set up so it will do that now (fingers crossed) , but haven't had any comments to test it on yet.

Well, you can test with this. That skein was even more beautiful in person. I've been coveting it ever since I saw it!

Actually, this post isn't old enough to trigger the moderation. :-) But I have had two attempted sp*m-comments (in only 2 days!) on an older post and got the notifications in my e-mail account, so it looks like I now have the settings correct.
:-D I love that skein too - I'm afraid to wash it! It currently isn't a repeatable colorway, but she's going to try to duplicate it after seeing the resulting skein.
