Gah!
One of my very least favorite things is to get a haircut, as it takes me forever to get used to it and by then it needs to be cut again. Even less favorite is getting new glasses, since they never seem quite right no matter who I go to.
Today I did both. The good thing is - I won't be able to see my hair for awhile! :-D Unfortunately, one lens of my glasses doesn't seem to be lining up with where my eye wants to look. The optician claims that my previous glasses were wrong, and my eye will adjust to the new ones. We'll see (I hope).
On the lighter side, though no crafty stuff was done again this week (other than looking through my new books from Interweave Press' Hurt Book sale), I did get kudos for making this (we were so full from everything else we just couldn't eat it all):
This was my first attempt at making blackberry cobbler, as DH usually eats them all on the way back into the house since I don't like blackberries, and it turned out really well. I even liked it, though it was a bit sweet for my taste. DH has asked me to make another, since we appear to have a large crop of blackberries this year and we left the leftover cobbler at my parents'. I may try to freeze the berry part of the cobbler as well, as I think we'll have enough for at least two double-recipe cobblers, and see how that works.
Mmmm... warm blackberry cobbler on a snowy day in the middle of winter. Doesn't that sound GOOD?
